We are very pleased to be involved in a rather special project that Nick Palermo, our Production Associate Intern, is involved with during the intersession (month of January) at Rogers Williams University in Bristol, RI. Nick will be blogging daily and uploading photos and videos. I'll let him explain what he is doing and why it is significant. A goal is to create a documentary that will premiere at this year's Roving Eye Film Festival in mid-April.
Hi Everyone my
plane leaves tomorrow for Costa Rica and I am so excited about the trip
and commence filming for the documentary I am making for the Non Profit
Organization FIMRC. For anyone that doesn't know FIMRC stands for the
Foundation of International Medical Relief of Children and in short they
are dedicated to providing pediatric and maternal care to people in
developing countries. I plan on creating a comprehensive documentary for
the organization that will give a complete overview of the work the
organization does, and also incorporates footage from each of the
organization's eleven sites. Right now I have footage from their one
site in El Salvador, but after this trip I will have footage
from Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I have a two week adventure ahead of me
and as long as there is internet access I will post a blog each day of
the trip on how the project is going. Also I want to take a moment to
thank President Farish, Professor George T. Marshall, Professor Autumn
Quezada-Grant, Professor Roxanne O'Connell, Meredith Mick, Nikos
Petrides, Carol Sacchetti, and Adrianne Murkiria without the help of each of you this project wouldn't be possible.
