LakeTana The Holy and heart shape water lake tana is suited in North Ethiopia between Gojame and east Gonder around Baher dar city. It is the largest lake in Ethiopia which cover 3600km2 and contain 37islandes as well as a lot of monastery built before 13 century. Each islands have at least 3 monasteries and different treasure. Some of the peninsulas and monasteries are tana kirkos,zege, Azwa Mariam, Dek island, Daga estifanos, Azura and Eentos eyesus are some of them.
The people who live
around tana have traditional boat known as ”Tankuwa” which make from grass
known as Dengel (papyrus).they use those boats in their day to day life’s.
