Lyrics

From Roberto Bagnoli's notes

/ Vino Mărioară, vino prin pădure,
ştiu un loc anume unde găsim mure. //
// Ştiu şi-o poieniţă cu flori câte vrei să-ţi vind romaniţă în loc de cercei. //

// Am să-ţi fac o salbă, şiruri de mărgele, flori de nalbă-albă lanţ de viorele. //
// Bucuroase cale florile pădurii
tu să iei petale eu bujorii gurii. //

// Vin-o-acum cu mine colo-n poieniţă să-ţi culeg, Mărie, flori de lămîiţa. //
Vino Mărioară, vino în pădure,
ştiu un loc anume unde găsim mure.

Şi să stau cu tine colo-n poieniţă
eu să-ţi cînt Mărie, tu să-mi dai guriţă.

Come, little Marie, come with me in the forest
I know a particular place where we will find blackberries

I also know a clearing, with as many flowers as you want
So I can make for you earrings with chamomile flowers
I'll make you a necklace with rows of pearls
White marshmallow compounds and also a necklace with thoughts.
Happy are the flowers from the forest on our way

You will pick the flower petals and I will pick the peonies from your mouth
Come now with me, to go to the clearing
And I will pick for you, Mary, jasmine flowers

Come, little Marie, come with me in the forest
I know a particular place where we can find blackberries
And I'll be alone with you there in the clearing
I will sing for you, Mary, and you will have to give me little kisses
