Portrait Wedding Photography:

Portraiture certainly yields some of the most beautiful images, more so when it’s of the blushing bride or of the happy couple on their wedding day. This style is also considered formal wedding photography in the way that subjects are usually directed and posed for the camera. Key moments for portrait wedding photography are those meaningful moments after the bride finally has her makeup on, once the couple has gotten into their wedding gown and suit, when they can privately pose for pictures.

Black and White Wedding Photography:

Black and white wedding photography is a good way to capture classic and timeless images. Some clients prefer colored images while others greatly appreciate how lack of color can enhance the mood of their photos it’s all a matter of preference. It’s a great technique that all photographers are encouraged to practice, but many shooters often use it to salvage images taken under mixed and difficult lighting conditions. In many cases, the photos actually end up looking even better. Take the photo above, for example. By taking out color, the photo becomes less distracting and the viewers’ attention instantly goes to the couple.

Traditional Photography:

The most common type of wedding photography, your photographer will capture the key points of the day like signing the register and cutting the cake as well as taking directed shots of you and your guests.

Pre-wedding:

Pre wedding photography is a fairly new trend originating from Asia. You may be familiar with engagement photography, where couples wear more casual clothes and have a cute photo session. However, in pre wedding photography the shoot is usually done a few months before the wedding and the couples wear their wedding outfits. The actual day of the wedding has couples rushing all over the place and most of the photos are taken with friends and relatives. However, pre wedding photography allows couples to wear their beautiful wedding outfits, and pick their favorite poses and locations to save forever through photos.

Details photography:

Like any event photographer, most of my wedding shots are of people, i.e. the bride, the groom and their guests. This, after all, is what a wedding is all about and what people mainly want to see when they open a wedding photo album. Weddings, though, are always packed full of other visual details besides the people. So much time is spent in preparation to make a wedding look beautiful that it would be a shame not to preserve some of this in the album. I find that sometimes the best way to achieve this is to make these details the subjects of some of my photographs, even if this means leaving people out of some shots completely.

Retouching and Editing:
As well as processing images for correcting or enhancing colour and exposure, a photographer can now add their own style, or give the photos a creative look that the bride and groom has requested, using digital retouching and editing tools.
