Tranquility in the Hills: Ananthgiri

The undulating hillscape of Ananthgiri
I will keep this short. Because some things are meant that way.

On a slightly hazy morning from the Lingampalli station in Hyderabad, we started our journey to Vikarabad, about an hour's journey away.  The train chugged along the tracks and after a few small station and winding semi-circular arches, through unusually green landscapes, it came to a brief halt in Vikarabad. The people seemed pretty friendly out there and we boarded on an auto to reach towards the top of a small hill. The auto would not travel anymore and we had to take a stroll.

...

The images of Ananthgiri Hills that were available on the net were not really remarkable and hence I was pretty pleasantly surprised when we reached the place. If you have any particular liking for a relaxed morning in the hills, with white foamy clouds rolling across the blue expanses of a sky that rolled down to meet the rolling hills, you will have a quaint liking for this place. Shades of green variations of green dotted the hillscape. Yellow tinges of sunlight  would occasionally touch upon the gently undulating hills, like the caressing of the wind that floats around there...

And also the fact about rolling down and down a gentle slope through which the road went along, winding....till it vanished beyond a bend...

Into a green horizon...
