What is Local Disease?

Local Disease is a type of one sided disease in which changes and ailments appear locally on the external parts of body.

What is One sided disease?

Diseases having too few symptoms and belong chiefly to the class of chronic diseases.
They termed one sided because they display only one or two principal symptoms which obscure almost all the others.
One sided diseases given in Aphorism 172-184

Types of Local Diseases?

1) External :- Arising from external Lesion
2) Internal :- Arising Internally

Treatment of Local Disease?

1) External:- Local Disease of external cause should first be treated with mechanical aid for eg: reduce dislocations of fracture and then treated with internal medication of specifically chosen homoeopathic medicine

2) Internal:- Local Disease of Internal cause should only be treated with internal medication. No external medication should be given in any case. First form complete picture of disease then give suitable homoeopathic medicine that is selected on basis of symptom totality.
Local Disease arising acutely from a sudden cause requires acute medicine that is selected from well known class of acute one for eg:- aconite, Belladonna, Rhus Tox etc.
