Nicodemus had been lately disturbed by this young man from Galilee. This man had created a recent scandal in the temple during the passover, overturning the money exchangers tables and driving out the animal traders. People spoke of his message of truth and grace. There were also rumours of miracles. This man just didn't fit into any of his classification systems. Nicodemus decided to meet Him and figure out. Jesus welcomed him, looked up at the starry night sky and  started sharing the gospel.

He smiled when he remembered the awful love that the Father carried in His bosom for a lost and hurting mankind. Love that was willing to suffer the loss of His beloved Son, so that out of this cauldron of sin and suffering shall arise a new man in the image of His Son. The eternal procession of love.

How He, the Son, disrobed Himself of His glory, took the dust of humanity into His divine nature and came to live in a rural household on earth. How He was going to be glorified on a cross, becoming the source of healing and life to a fallen world, through a kingdom of light and righteousness.

And none can enter this kingdom by himself. He has to be born as a son of God from above. Born of the Spirit of God. For the one who is born of the Spirit is a spirit(ual man). The life of such a man is like a tree swayed by the wind. The world sees only the swaying tree, it does not see the wind that sways it. The world only sees the external working of such a man. It does not see the Spirit that initiates it. This is the new life.

The gospel is an invitation to come, explore and understand this God. A call to have fellowship with this eternal  Father, Christ our Godbrother, and the intimate  Spirit. The Trinity is the gospel.
