Just Imagine !!!!

Think about the time in your life when you felt the happiest, so happy that you thought you were flying through the clouds singing ecstatically as your heart leaped up thinking about the reason that made  you so very much happy.

You must also remember why you were feeling the incredible feeling. Was it because of your very first bicycle, or your first outstanding performance in the exam, or the proud faces of your parents as your name's being called for you high school graduation, you learned something new or  was it because you accepted yourself for who you are for the very first time and let go off the prejudices of the society ruling your life.

What ever be the reason, reminiscing that very moment must have made you grin from ear to ear right now. For me it was the first time I ever stood in front of the crowd and gave a speech that inculcated every bit of wisdom my 10 year old self could think of. As I take a stroll on that particular memory lane, not only my face is lit with the widest smile; but also my whole self is taken back to that cloud nine moment.

But there are times when your emotions go down south as blood rushes to your head and you feel as if it will explode right there in the moment. Things go wrong so very often in our lives, more often than times when they go perfectly alright.

You don't finish you assignments on time; your first big presentation at work goes wrong; your dream vacations gets cancelled; you fail to keep a promise that you gave to a very important person and vice versa; your proposal gets rejected; and you fail to keep up to the expectations of every one who looks up to you. You very much know how you feel going through  disappointments.

You feel angry and mad. Quoting from a song from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood,  What do you do with the mad that you feel when you feel so mad you could bite ? When the whole world seems so very wrong and nothing you do seems very right?

You can't think radically when the dominant thought in your mind is urging you to break every thing that is within your hand's grasp, can you ? It is like your brain and body have turned on the autopilot mode of destruction which causes destruction of the physical objects and destruction of something deep inside.

As anger builds up due to the hectic nature of our day to day life , we get more and more prone to being triggered by things that makes us mad that we forget to look for the happiness element in the things we do, that we forget to do things that once made us happy , that we lock our happy memories inside our mind's attic and that we lose the sense of what exactly should make us happy.  And as we grow up, our mind gets so engrossed in  imagining the world a grim place that we forget to locate small packets of happiness hiding in plain sight.

In that case, taking a break from every thing, walking down the memory lane, reliving the time when we felt ecstatic and trying to feel the same thing again can help to reduce the level of toxic thoughts that rule our heads.

Remember when we were kids, even the smallest thing ,whether that be a small puppy on the road or helping a blind man cross the road could light our faces and make us happy. Remember, how easily we used to forget what made us angry because making a frowning face hurt, how effortlessly we forgave people who made us sad and how easily we dealt with disappointments by saying, "It'll be okay next time or I'll make it right next time."

And how our small world was a wonderland which could turn into anything we pretended it to be. It could sometimes turn into a dinosaur world and as well turn into a mickey mouse club house. And how those mindset made our childhood wonderful. So, why don't we continue practicing the same wonderful mindset which we somehow modified and changed in the process of growing up. When the world seems a grim and a dark place to live in, let's just think that reality can be whatever we pretend it to be, and imagine a wonderful world in our heads and believe that the one we live in can turn into the world that is inside our mind. JUST IMAGINE!!
